I like going to concerts. I enjoy concerts a lot. Hence tonight is a concert night. It does not matter that I have seen the band twice this year (ah I miss Los Angeles) I will still enjoy going to the concert.

So the Stone Roses are about to make a comeback. I guess it was a question of time before they did but I really do not know what to say about it. In my opinion there are only two possible outcomes, a huge success or terrible concerts. The one time I have seen Stone Roses live fulfilled every requirement of the latter outcome.
Nevertheless, "I wanna be adored" is still one of my favourite songs of all time. Even a terrible live performance cannot change that fact.

2011 has been a year when I have discovered a lot of good new music made by artists and groups I have not heard before. This is a good example of what I mean.

Back from Madrid, it feels like I need to sleep for days. But it sure was a good trip to a town that surprised me. Madrid is in my opinion a town that is much better than what people have told me. Of course the company, the sun and the red wine helped too. Like this song helped by the wonderful voice of Nicola Hitchcock.

A long time ago I made an interview with Marty Willson-Piper, guitarist in the Australian band The Church. He claimed that only band had been together longer then The Church without scoring a big hit namely Legendary Pink Dots.
But is it necessary to produce big hits? Could music be interesting and great anyway? Of course it can. That is why I am catching Legendary Pink Dots live tonight. Because in my mind music matter even if it is a band without a big hit.

Just the other day I discovered that Moby released a record earlier this year. I cannot believe that I have not noticed earlier, after all Moby is an artist that I have enjoyed more than once the last ten years. It is good to hear new music from Moby, especially songs like this one.

I grew up listening to tons of electronic music. In the beginning it was Depeche Mode, Yazoo, Kraftwerk and similar artists. Then "heavier" stuff like Front 242, Nitzer Ebb and A Split Second. To this day it till makes me happy to hear great new electronic music like this song. The fact that this video is recorded in one of my favorite cities Berlin makes it even better.

I watched TV earlier today when this song caught my attention. I have not heard this song before but with sad lyrics like this I am not surprised that I immediately took this song to my heart.
Too far gone was written by Billy Sherrill 1975. This version is found on the Jill Johnson record "Music row II" released in 2009.
I went to the release party for the brand new Promise and the Monster record "Red tide" last night. Sometimes less is more. A beautiful female voice, an acoustic guitar and songs about sad things in life. Of course I love it; I am so easy to convince sometimes. But it sure is great to hear new material from Promise and the Monster.

I read in the paper today that 82% of the Swedes believe in one true life-long love. Quite interesting since about 50% of the Swedish marriages ends in a divorce. It made me think of this song, about a person who never stops believing. Though maybe she should.
