From one song about a murder to another one. Back in November I heard this song for the first time when I headed to a Mark Kozelek concert, it was the first time that I have ever cried during a concert I just couldn’t hold it back.

Now, six long months later, the song is finally available on record. Though the album mix is not as far as good as the live acoustic version (found here) it still makes me cry when I hear it…

One may of course question whether a song about a murder qualifies in the “lovely” category but I am convinced that you know what I mean.

I have not had the time to listen to a lot of music lately, a new job and some other major but lovely changes have occurred in my life. This may very well be the reason why I was unaware of a new Nick Cave album until now.

I must admit that I have never been a huge Nick Cave fan but I always find a new album from Mr Cave well worth checking out.

“California! Guitars and golden noise” is a description of Bleached that I read when trying to find out more about the band playing live tonight at one of my favourite stages in the world.

Given that description, there is no way that I will miss this concert.

Once upon a time there was a Swedish band "Honey Is Cool". To this day they are one of the better Swedish live acts I have had the pleasure to catch live.

Sometimes songs catches me off guard, when I least expect it there is all of a sudden something about a song that I simply cannot resist.

I experienced such a moment when I first heard this song. And strangely enough I still experience that feeling whenever I hear this song.

One may say many things about Marilyn Manson; he is for sure a character within the music industry.

Another true character in the music business is Rob Zombie; and character or not, at the end of the day one need to remember that he releases some very good music every now and then.

Marilyn Manson... The name itself is provoking and even shocking. The title of this song is, I guess, also provoking and shocking.

Basically more or less every appearance that involves Marilyn Manson is provoking and shocking making him one of the true characters in the music business.

The Residents may very well be one of the strangest phenomenons in the music business. A phenomenon in itself is that they have been around for 40 plus years now, spreading their weird and twisted music, music that certainly challenges anyone listening to them.

Tonight I will get yet another chance to catch The Residents live though I have not made up my mind yet. In order to “survive” one evening together with company of The Residents I need to be in the right mood…

The first time I crossed paths with Neil Halstead was about twenty years ago when Slowdive, the band that Neil Halstead then was a member of, served as an opening act to the band Cranes.

I was spellbound.

Since then I have been following the career of Neil Halstead, following Slowdive I used to listen a lot to Mojave 3 and I am as well a great fan of the records he has released under his own name in the latter part of his career.

I have had the pleasure of catching Slowdive live. I have had the pleasure of catching Mojave 3 live. Tonight I will get my first opportunity to catch Neil Halstead live. Needless to say I am certainly looking forward to this evening.

Attempting multiple careers may be a success but also a huge failure. There are a number of people who have tried to combine their current career with a career in the music business. Many have failed, some have managed them both.

In recent years my favourite success story is Zooey Deschanel who has appeared in a number of good movies but also as the lead singer of She & Him.

Sometimes I am forced to make hard decisions. Or to be honest it is really a non-issue decision but anyway. Yesterday I had to decide whether I should visit a Low concert or a MF/MB concert and as you know the decision ended up to the favour of Low.

Why then? My gut-feeling is that the chances are better to get another opportunity to visit a MF/MB concert in the future than another chance to visit a Low concert.

As simple as that.

A couple of weeks ago I headed to a concert where Black Twigs, a band that I had listened to every now and then, served as an opening act of the concert evening. The main act that evening was a band that I had not heard before, Husky Rescue.

Now that I am aware of the existence of Husky Rescue I am also a huge fan, this has got be the best Finish music export ever.

Simply amazing. Simply wonderful. Simply so very, very good.
