I headed north yesterday to my mother’s house place by the foot of the mountain but still with a view worth a million dollars.

While standing there on her balcony, looking at the flowers, trees, green fields and lake I also felt like a million dollars. Something strange about it all was however that this song popped up in my head in that very moment.

From one movie soundtrack to another, by pure coincidence two movies released the very same year of 1994.

While the song yesterday was a feel good type of song this is something quite different. There may be some hope in this song but at the same time it is one of the saddest songs I have ever heard.

The first time I heard this song was probably when watching the movie “Pulp fiction”. Then it has been a song that has popped up every now and then, yesterday it happened again, rather unexpected this time since I heard a guy humming the tune on the subway.

I really do believe that this is a charming song, a song that makes me feel good, a song that fills my body with warmness, a song that put a smile on my face.

I learned today, a few days late, that May 4 is considered to be the “Star Wars Day”. The reason why is the famous line from the movie “May the force be with you/May the forth be with you”, something that I until now has been unaware of.

Once upon a time I was blown away by the song “If I can’t change your mind” recorded by the band Sugar. Ever since then, the mastermind behind Sugar Bob Mould, has released songs that I like though they may not have blown me away.

By now, 20 years plus following the recording of “If I can’t change your mind”, chances are good that I, in time, will describe this song as something that blew me away. It certainly has that potential.
