Nowadays I must say that New York is a city where I feel perfectly safe no matter whether it is 2am in the morning or 2pm in the afternoon.

Unlike many others I never experienced the New York that was under heavy influence of criminal activities, a city that was not as safe as it is today, the days of the thugs and the mob.
